 About Lost Marsh Estates

The Hammond Redevelopment Commission is holding an auction for six (6) single family golf course lots on property that it owns next to Lost Marsh Golf Course in Hammond, Indiana. This unique opportunity is the first and most likely the last opportunity to own a lot that backs up to the Lost Marsh golf course. These lots are exclusive golf course lots that are on a newly constructed cul-de-sac off of New York Avenue near Calumet College. There may not be better lots in Northwest Indiana that boast the amenities that this subdivision offer, including:

- Lots that back up against Lost Marsh, a 27-hole championship golf course that is one of the best public golf courses in the State of Indiana.
- Immediate access to miles of Hammond and Whiting bike trail system.
- 5 minutes from Lake Michigan, beaches, and the Hammond Marina.

These six lots will be auctioned on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6 PM at the Lost Marsh Golf Course Clubhouse located at 1001 129th Street in Hammond, Indiana. You must be pre-registered in order to participate in the auction.

 

 

The Public Auction by HRC of the Residential Parcels I made on the conditions set forth below:

 

Requirements:  Buyers will be required to build a singe family residential structure with a minimum square footage of 2,500 for a ranch and 3,400 for a two story structure and in compliance with the Restrictive Covenants which are available or review at Hammond Port Authority or Hammond Redevelopment Commission offices.

 

The highest bidder on each Lot shall enter into a Purchase Agreement with the HRC within 10 days of the auction. Failure to execute a Purchase Agreement may void the sale, and under those circumstance, HRC reserves he right to sell the Residential Parcel to the next highest bidder.

 

Construction of the new single family residential structure hall begin within 18 month of closing on the Residential Parcel.

 

AS IS:  ALL Residential Parcels are being sold AS IS.

 

Title Insurance:  HRC shall provide insurance title to the Buyer.

 

Closing Date:  The sale and purchase of each Residential Parcel must be closed no later than 60 days after completion of the public auction (August 20, 2018) or as mutually agreed upon by the Buyer and HRC.

 

Reserve- Minimum Bid:  The minimum bid for each parcel shall be $20,000 or greater

 

Payments:  Earnest money in the amount of $10,000 will be due and payable at the Public Auction. Earnest money payments hall be made payable to the Hammond Redevelopment Commission and must be the balance of the highest bid shall be paid at closing.

 

 

 

About Pre-Registration

 

Those interested in participating in the auction must pre-register by 4 PM on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Pre-register at Hammond's Planning & Development office located on the third floor of City Hall (5925 Calumet Avenue, Hammond, Indiana).
